35 - Penta Touch
Today's new puzz.link genre is Penta Touch. It's a genre which feels lot like Statue Park, but with more powerful clues. It can be a bit tricky to set, but overall this genre ended up being cooler than I was expecting it to be. As with Pentopia, the original rules for the puzzle assumed it would always be pentominoes, hence "Penta Touch", but the puzz.link implementation allows you to create a puzzle with any shapes you want.
Here's the rules and example from the rules page:
Place every shape from the bank into the grid. Shapes can be rotated or mirrored. All shapes must be used exactly once. There cannot be shapes in the grid that aren't present in the bank. Two shapes cannot be orthogonally adjacent. A dot indicates a place where two shapes are diagonally adjacent. All possible dots are given, meaning that two shapes cannot be diagonally adjacent in places without a dot.
Be aware that today's puzzles each use a different piece bank. The second puzzle in particular uses a "half pentomino" bank of 6 arbitrary shapes. It'll be helpful to study it before proceeding with the puzzle. The third puzzle might be quite tough this time, so I'm giving it a tentative four krows.
